Pro Shop Attendant - Golf

The City of Ottawa Golf Course is currently recruiting for a Pro Shop Attendant. The Pro Shop Attendant will provide excellent customer service to golfers, manage retail operations, and assist with general upkeep of the Pro Shop.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Greet customers and provide information about the golf course and park
  • Process sales transactions, including golf rounds and merchandise sales.
  • Restock and display merchandise in the pro shop
  • Manage reservations and tee times using the booking system
  • Answer phones and handle customer inquiries professionally
  • Keep the pro shop clean and organized
  • Assist with tournament operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate reordering needs
  • Support concession and bar operations including setup, restocking, cash handling, and cleanup. Employees must meet the minimum age requirement to sell and serve alcoholic beverages under Kansas law (at least 18 years of age).

Ancillary Job Functions:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
  • Comply with all City ordinances, policies, and relevant state and federal laws. Assist other departments as needed, contributing to the overall success of municipal operations.

  • General office conditions and moderate noise levels

  • Sitting, Standing and Dexterity: The role requires prolonged periods of sitting and standing, as well as repetitive wrist, hand, and finger movement.
  • Manual Coordination: Precise hand-eye coordination is necessary for tasks related to golf operations and equipment handling.
  • Lifting: The ability to lift up to 25 pounds is required.
